La Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) ha publicado la primera parte de un manual online para medios digitales: The SPJ Digital Media Handbook Part 1 (PDF).
El manual ha sido realizado por el Digital Media Committee de la SPJ, que cuenta entre sus miembros a Jennifer Peebles, editora de Texas Watchdog o Jeff Achen, productor multimedia y editor online de Thisweeklive.com.
El manual incluye guías para el livestreaming, la redacción de titulares para la Web y el uso de las redes sociales en la cobertura de noticias. Y también trata temas como la inclusión de contenidos generados por los usuarios, el trabajo con archivos PDF y la creación de mapas interactivos y slideshows.
Se espera que la SPJ publique la 2ª parte de su Handbook para finales de este año.
